This shop has been part of the Conejo Valley since 1975, and it is beginning something new under new ownership. Here is where we came from, and what stays the same.

1975
The shop’s founding
Conejo Valley Stamp & Coin opened in 1975, in a valley that has changed a great deal since — but the reason people came in has not. Somebody found an old coin. Somebody wanted to finish a set. Somebody had a box of material they did not understand and needed an honest explanation of it.
Across five decades the shop became one of those local places that people recommend rather than advertise. Beginners were welcomed rather than dismissed. Questions were answered at length. Nobody was hurried into a decision.
A retirement

The shop’s previous owner has retired after many years of serving this community. That tenure is the reason the name means what it does locally, and it deserves to be acknowledged plainly and gratefully here.
The standard they set — patience, clear explanations, and treating every visitor as someone worth the time — is the standard we hold ourselves to.

What I can promise is the part that made this shop worth keeping: time for your questions, straight explanations of what your coins are, and no pressure to buy or sell anything. Whether you are starting a collection or trying to make sense of one that was left to you, you are welcome here.

What carries forward
Coins, estate collections and appraisals
The shop’s focus today is coins, estate collections and appraisals. The name Conejo Valley Stamp & Coin stays as it is — it is part of the valley’s landscape — and where other services are concerned we would rather confirm them before advertising them than list capabilities we cannot yet stand behind.
If there is something specific you are hoping for, ask. A plain answer is better than a hopeful one.
